Successful People
Passion and Profession
Have
you ever wondered why you have been born? What is the purpose behind your
birth? It is said, that everything is predestined. Everything that happens
around us is predefined. Have you ever thought, ‘what fate holds in store for
you’? What is your future? It is said to live in present, but, what about your
future? Every day we meet thousands of people around us, then, why some are
good and the others bad for us? Why are some successful and the others
unsuccessful? Who is to decide it all? It is said that ‘everyone is unique and
has enough potential to do something big’; then, why there are failures? Why
people (especially students) suicide? Where to find this uniqueness?
Well
all these questions might have hit our minds at least once in our lifetime but
we could not find their exact answers. In this fast changing world, we have to
transform ourselves, and our lives to cope up with the changing environment. We
have people around us who are successful and those as well who are
unsuccessful. Anyone who adapts himself to this dynamic environment and develop
accordingly is successful and the others unsuccessful. What makes them
successful is their determination. But that doesn’t mean that unsuccessful
people are not determined. In fact, unsuccessful people are more determined
than successful but they use this determination in doing something which they
are not interested in or are not made for.
So, now arises the question that if they are not interested, then why
are they so determined in doing that?
One reason might be the family pressure or
the will to fulfill their parents’ dream. As soon as a child is born, a
parent expects him to fulfill their dreams and if it is a family profession,
then the child is bound to pursue that. Since childhood this one thing has been
inculcated in them and when the time comes to choose a career, the child does not
find any other option better than the one suggested by his parents. He decides
to pursue that but is he happy doing it? That is the reason why the number of
dropouts is increasing every year.
Another
reason might be money and social status. All parents want their children
to be successful and pursue a career which has enough money and gives them
social pride too. In today’s fast changing and competitive world, it is
necessary to have enough money in hand. Now-a-days, a person is not known by
the skills he has but by the money he has earned. Especially in India, parents
want their children to pursue careers like the civil services or become a
doctor, engineer or a charted accountant. All these professions have enough
money and give them a good social status too. But what are they doing at last?
They too are acting as servants serving their masters. They are slogging more
than half of their day to do something which will get them enough money in
future. They do it not out of their will but with an expectation to earn good
income. Whether they are interested or not or will they be able to do it or not
is their secondary concern. But the primary concern is to only choose a career
which will fetch them enough money. Then tell me, is earning money the sole
objective while choosing a career? What if you are not happy and satisfied
doing your job? Will you be able to remain in the industry for long?
What
about the successful people? They too earn money but they are doing because
they are happy doing it. They have found something which they are made for.
They too earn money, but they don’t feel it as a burden. They are satisfied
with their lives because they are doing their work with utmost zeal. “Successful” is a combination of two
words; “Success” and “Full”, that doesn’t mean they have never
failed. In fact they are the people who have failed the most but have
never given up. They have achieved all
they wanted to. They did it for themselves and not for anybody else. They are successful because they didn’t run
for money but pursued their passion and enhanced their skills. When you follow
your heart, when you want to fulfill your desires on your own and when you
pursue your passion, money follows your path.
Okay,
who doesn’t know Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos? These people have forethought their
future and did not run where most of the people were running. They have created
their own paths and now are the most successful people in the world. They too
have failed many times in their lives but have never given up. Albert Einstein
was even a school dropout and now who doesn’t know him. Who doesn’t know about
the ‘youngest batting sensation’, “Shubman Gill”. He started playing cricket at
the tender age of four, and now at age 20 he is compared with the run machine,
‘Virat Kohli’. So, what matters most is your passion, your vision and your
desire to do something big. Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the
strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars.
I
agree that we cannot change our destiny but we can create it. Apart from the
things that are destined to happen, we can pursue our likes and do something
that we aspire to. Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing
on what excites you. There are many options available. Apart from doing jobs
and getting placements, freelancing is also emerging as one of the ways
to earn money by pursuing your passion. Some people like writing, some are good
at coding, and others like graphic designing. All such people can pursue their
careers in freelancing. Moreover, many websites and social media platforms have
also emerged these days, which provide free training or tutorials to the
aspirants. These days, successful people are not the employees or Microsoft or
the Charted Accountants but the ones who work for themselves and pursue their
passion.
So
identify your skills, undergo a quality test and find your uniqueness. Never come
under the pressure of anybody. Your parents want you to be well settled. However,
you can even do that when you pursue your passion. Earning money is not that
important but surely achieving your goals and establishing your brand is. Honestly, when you do what you love, your
energy is at next level and you assure your success.
Allow your passion to become your purpose, and it will one day become your profession.
Facts! A real good piece :)
